Today was absolutely stunning. The Glencoe valley is just breathtaking.
We had a group set off very early to make up some miles from yesterday, and a group setting off from the hotel.
These ladies are very tired now. I mean really really exhausted. They have cycled around 800 miles and this is starting to show.
BUT they are ALL in great spirits and today was just wonderful to witness. The highlands, the valleys, the BIG scenery.
We also had a huge amount of gravel tracks to deal with too. Which is a little out of the comfort zone of some athletes here so this was just another hurdle to overcome.
Then there’s the midges! 🤪
But although we have sore arms, hands, feet and bums, we are absolutely determined to make it on Saturday to John O’Groats. It’s starting to feel real now. What they have been working towards for 9 months is finally in its last stages and it’s so exciting.
Tonight we stay in Dingwall. Some will be bused back to their finish point tomorrow morning at 6am. Some will enjoy their first cooked breakfast of the trip rather than overnight oats!
Sleepy time for these epic athletes
Goodnight and thankyou for following us xx

You guys are absolutely amazing, I've loved following you, what an epic journey, you're almost there! Xxx
Ladies, you are all to be congratulated for your determination and perseverance. Keep moving on and Saturday will be such a relief and feelings of pride, accomplishment and companionship.
A big shout out to Glyn for his critical support.
Hope you can hear all the clapping and cheering from the West Coast.
Today (Day 8) after you leave Dingwall and arrive in Dornoch, we will turn the page on our old RAC road atlas and what do we see?? YES, John o' Groats! You are nearly there.
Keep pedaling!
Love from Canada
